Flavor of Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the TAC Flavor of Fall Blog Hop! Are you ready for some inspiring inspiration?

For my card, I wanted to use something that wasn't really "Fall-ish" but maybe by using Fall-like colors might become "Fall like looking"! Follow?
So I took a cup from the Coffee Talk set and filled it with pumpkins! What could be more Fall-like than a cup of pumpkins, right?
I colored the cup and pumpkins using the Copic Markers above. The two Ciao markers are YR68 and G99. If you want to color something that is pretty detailed but want to do it the "fast and easy lazy mazy" way, then read on.
I call this technique "Scribble Doodles"! There may be a documented REAL name to this technique, I don't know. Do you? If so, lemme know, k? But I do like scribble doodles, don't you?
So I start my scribble doodle with two colors--YR65 and R05, on cream cardstock. First one color, then the other--just random scribbles. Don't think about it. Just scribble. It's not like baking a cake; it's like making mud pies!
Next, add YG06. Again, think mud pies! No measuring. No thinking. Just scribble scribble!
Next, add YR68. Looking good. . . I like it.
Now add G99 to the scribble mix. Just fill in any white spaces you see--not ALL the white spaces though because you still have one more color to add.
Waiting patiently for its turn is E55. As you scribble, be sure you have an area of scribble doodles big enough so your image will fit inside. In this case, the coffee cup, so you can use E55 to widen the area if you need to--comprend? Are you still making mud pies with me? Hope so.
Now for the magical marker that will blend it all together, like Colby Cheese and Cheddar (do you remember that commercial--"Colby Cheese and Cheddar, blended all together!")
I used Y32. If you look at the sample above, you will notice that I went over only the left side with Y32. The right side is not blended yet. Do you see the difference? The right side has white spaces whereas the left side doesn't. See???? (And I hope you are not just a "picture looker-atter" because I inadvertently forgot to include Y32 in with the other Copic markers!)
So now I used Memento Rich Cocoa to stamp the coffee cup on the scribble doodles, which kinda looks like a mess doesn't it. Like real mud pies I would say! :} If you too have mud pies then you did a bang-up job of scribble doodling and YOU GET AN "A"! The mud pies turn into a beautiful cake only AFTER you cut out your stamped image.
Okay, enough about mud pies, let's move on. . . Notice the front side of the circle tag?
This is the back side of the circle tag. Still with me? It's really two pieces of ribbon--one long piece, looped through the hole (there's a ribbon end you can't see) and a shorter piece glued to the longer one.
We are ready to address the pumpkins! I wanted the cup to be filled with pumpkins so. . .
I stamped the pumpkins (from the Hedgehog Happiness set) three times and, after coloring them with Copics, stacked them into the cup using pop dots.
I wanted my cup to kinda look like a cup so I brushed on some Crystal Lacquer to give it a shiny cup-like appearance!
So there you go--my Fall-ish card for the Flavor of Fall Blog Hop. Thanks so much for hopping here to see my card!
Happy Fall y'all.
YUKI
