Too Cute-ums!

Is there anything cuter than a bunny? This was a baby bunny too.
Too too cute-ums.
This little guy was at the Wyoming Visitor's Center.

Day 3

Here is the Zipper! Yes, day 3.
I overheard the guy in the background giving his wife holy heck because apparently SHE forgot to put the oil cap back on and oil was going everywhere or something. Neither one of them knew where the oil cap was either.
So funny! Kinda like when Zip forgot to push in the ice chest plug in all the way and water was everywhere in the car! Oh, did I just bring that up again? :}

I'm part fish!

And duck for those of you who know!
I love swimming--always have. This is still Day 3 and after we got to the hotel, we bolted to the pool and hot tub. Hmmmmm, sweet.

Postcards!

I love sending postcards!
I even LOVE sending postcards to myself too. Yes, to the house.
Think about it--it's a GREAT way to always remember where you were on a particular day and the postage needed to mail it--all with a beautiful photo too! Years from now, information like that will come in handy!
On Day 3 of our roadtrip, I FINALLY got some postcards while at the Air Force Academy!
Zip was there to "capture the moment" of me mailing them!
This is important stuff, okay?

Hang On!

No, these are not roadtrip photos!

Zip took these photos of us while the three of us were visiting Hemisfair Park in San Antonio.

When Zip told us to go sit on the rock, I was already afraid.
Do you see how Rhodeen is holding on to the rock and I'm holding on to Rhodeen? So funny.

See how the rock slants down toward the water! Scary!!!!! But it was kinda fun.

High Maintenance

Me--by a super duper plane at the Visitor's Center at the Air Force Academy!
Me--doing what I do best--shopping!!

Me with my stuff! I guess you could call me "high maintenance." I'm not ashamed to be "labeled" that either. I am what I am, and I accept what I am! I NEED my stuff. And for this roadtrip, I decided that I needed to bring my electric make-up mirror. So nice.

Don't Feed the Wildlife!

On Day 3, we stopped at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.
Such a beautiful place to earn a degree and become an Air Force officer! Well, there was a sidewalk leading from the Visitor's Center to the Chapel, which, of course, we walked to. The Chapel was BEAUTIFUL.
We did encountered this sign though along the way!
Then in Wyoming at the Visitor's Center there, we saw this sign.
See the big "smiling" bear!?

Exhausted Doing Nothing!

Yes, that's me! I was dog-tired after our first day of driving. And , know what? I wasn't even driving! I was just "sitting."
It's hard work doing nothing, ya know?
:}

Day 1 Send-Off

Well, you can't see the sweat on my brow but, believe me, it was there! It was hard work getting everything ready INSIDE the house so we could be gone for over a month! Then we had to load the car.
Oh my gosh, even though it was still morning, it was hot and humid and, by the time we were ready to leave, Zip and I needed a shower!
BUT . . . Zip would not let me sit in the car until he had his "good bye" photo in our driveway!
Grrrrrrr, all I wanted to do was sit in the car with the A/C on full blast with ALL the vents pointing to me--that's all I wanted to do! But Zip would not go away, so I put on my "happy face" and posed for him. Good thing I kept all my fingers UP, right?

Day 3 Breakfast!

This is Day 3 Breakfast at Trinidad, CO!
Is Zipper a cutie patootie or what? He is pointing to what we ate. It's called the Breakfast Sampler--1 egg, 1 bacon, 1 sausage, hash browns and 1 slice of toast. It's under "Lighter Fare" and it was FREE. Regular price of the breakfast is $5.99 but we got free breakfast with the room! And we were ready for a nice HOT breakfast!
Yum Yum Eat "Em Up!

Never Before Seen

Well, here are some photos I took on a roadtrip we took last year to San Francisco!
This is Zip doing his Napoleon impersonation!
Notice the Golden Gate Bridge waaaay in the background?

The other two photos are just kewl photos of San Francisco, I think.

SNAKES???

Snakes! I don't like snakes. I'm sorry but I don't. They give me the "willies." I'm sure they have a purpose other than to scare the pee out of me though, right?
This is day 2 of our roadtrip and we were well out of Texas when we saw this sign. It was at a rest stop by the Capulin Volcano, the largest extinct volcano in north east New Mexico.
I couldn't wait to get back into the car and make like a baby and head out!

If it's Sunday, it must be Lubbock!

Yepper, we are in Lubbock, TX.
Today is Day #1 of our roadtrip! We drove through San Angelo and stopped at one of my Red Hot's house, Kerri. Rose, another Red Hot, and her hubby, Larry, came by too. It was GREAT to see them all.
In the first photo--that's Zip at Kerri's handmade sign for the street they live on.
Then the next photo is the three of us--Rose, Kerri, and moi!
The last photo is Kerri and family--are they all adorable or what?!
We said our goodbyes after about two hours (had a great meal too--thank you Kerri! and a "better than anything" dessert--thank you Rose!) and continued on to Lubbock!
Tomorrow--Trinidad!
Oh. . . even though today is our first day, it was not without incident. We had water in the car because the drain hole of the ice chest wasn't closed all the way! I won't point fingers (Zip) but it wasn't my fault (Zip did it); I'll let you draw your own conclusions! :}

What Fun!

Here we are with Kerri (one of my Red Hots!) and her family! It's been about 2 years since I've seen Kerri. Many moons ago, we would get together more frequently and it was wonderful.
So when I found out they were driving down to San Antonio to play "tourists," I jumped at the chance to suggest dinner or something!
We were able to meet them for dinner one night (went to the Rainforest Cafe) and had a wonderful meal and got to catch up some!
And wanna know something funny?
We are going to see them again in a couple of days up in San Angelo while on our roadtrip!
Life is funny sometimes!

Great American Roadtrip!

Have you been watching that show on TV? It's about 6 or 7 families, travelling around the United States in these HUGE RVs. They get to see some amazing sights along the way, eat some yummilious food, and every now and then, they stop and compete in challenges. If you are in the bottom three, you compete again and then the "losing" family goes home!
I'm taking exception to that show because it seems if you don't have kids, you probably can't get on the show!
Oh well. . .
We will soon start our own Great American Roadtrip here shortly! There will be no challenges where we win PRIZES like attending a red carpet movie premier in Hollywood but there WILL be challenges along the way.
And if we can be blessed with just one prize, do you know what I'm hoping for?
That at the end of our roadtrip, we arrive back at our house--safe and sound.
Not a bad prize right?

Red Hots at Seminar/Convention!

This past weekend was The Angel Company's Annual Seminar/Convention! There were six Red Hots who attended. As always, it's so much fun to get together, stay up late, laugh, yak, stamp, and eat yummy food prepared just for us!

Japanese Sunken Gardens!

The Japanese Sunken Gardens were in pretty sad shape for quite a while but it's now one of my most favorite places to go to in San Antonio since its almost total rennovation!
Zip, Rhodeen, and I went there a couple of weeks ago for the first time since its "make-over"!
If you are ever in San Antonio, this is a must-see!
