Wet and Cold

Was it EVER wet and cold, seeing the falls up close and personal.
If you've never been or don't know--there are really three different falls that are collectively called Niagara Falls. The three falls are American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Canadian Horseshoe Falls. All three are BEAUTIFUL. I kinda liked the American and Bridal Veil Falls because you can see them better. The Horseshoe Falls always seemed to have a lot of mist, thereby preventing a good view of the entire falls.
We took the Maid of the Mist Boat tour, which was really wet and cold, but super duper kewl.
It takes you right next to the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, and then continues on to circle inside the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
The roar of the falls and mist/water hitting your face were unreal. Even though the tour supplies the haute couture blue rain gear, you still end up getting wet. But what the hey! It was truly something to experience and appreciate. I LOVED IT!!!!!

How fun for you two! For 4 years, John and I lived about an hour away from Niagara, so we'd visit every couple of months in all kinds of weather. Did you know the falls freeze? In all the times I've visited the falls (both sides), I've never actually done the Maid of the Mist, though. I'm more of a touch-the-ground type of gal.
