There's Gold in Those HIlls!

In Lead, SD, that is. It's pronounced like leed, not lead like a lead pipe.
The Homestake Mine was the largest, deepest and most productive gold mine in the Western Hemisphere before closing in 2002.
To take the tour, we had to wear these blue hard hats. I made sure they sprayed my hat with antibug stuff before I put it on. Can't be too careful, you know!
Huge. . . huge. . . very huge. . .


They had all these super duper kewl tools to blast rocks. I need one of these!!!!!!
